Police are hunting thieves who broke into a car in broad daylight on Friday.
The burgundy Renault Clio was parked in Kingswood Grove in Douglas near to the Manx Museum between 12.10pm and 2.10pm.
Thieves managed to get inside and a black Next handbag was taken.
Officers say the incident highlights the risks of leaving valuables on show while cars are parked and left unattended.
