Torrential rainfall overnight hampers driving conditions
Police are reminding Islanders to take extra care on the roads this morning (Tuesday).
It’s after high winds and torrential rain overnight which has left lots of standing water and debris.
A number of trees fell in various parts of the Island, some of which blocked roads, while one in Ballasalla brought down power lines.
All the roads are now clear but conditions are not ideal.
On the seas, this morning’s Douglas to Heysham sailing is due to leave on time after yesterday’s crossings were cancelled.
