Budget focus on financial crime
There continues to be an increased focus on financial crime from the Isle of Man Constabulary.
Chief Constable Gary Roberts revealed the information during a Public Accounts Committee yesterday (TUESDAY).
He insisted his officers took offences like money laundering and fraudulent activity extremely seriously.
However, the chief constable was unhappy with how the Island was portrayed in a recent BBC documentary:
Knives and 'sharp metal objects' found in Douglas Council recycling box
Bus drivers to go on strike
Taxi driver remanded in custody after admitting £11k cheque fraud against father
Island businesses invited to FSA events
Yellow warning for snow
