Parent tells Manx Radio their 11-year-old has been offered ecstasy
Drugs are becoming more 'prevalent' across schools on the Isle of Man.
That’s according to police who say they are continuing to do 'early intervention' work to try and tackle issues and educate pupils.
Manx Radio was contacted by a concerned parent after they claimed their 11-year-old child was continually being offered cannabis.
They say, more recently, those offers have escalated and now the pupil is being asked if they want to buy ecstasy.
Manx Radio contacted the headteacher to ask about the allegations but was told they were 'unaware' of any drug issues.
However, the work that police carry out in schools, tells a different story.
