Festive season brings crime online
Police have issued a warning, as our festive shopping gathers pace.
Get Safe Online says: "the lead-up to Christmas is a time when, for many of us, our spending soars.
"This year, even more of us will be taking advantage of the choice, convenience and best prices that we can only get online.
"Unfortunately, however, November and December are also the busiest time for fraudsters."
If you're buying pre-owned connected mobile devices, or getting rid of yours, you're encouraged to do a thorough reset - to delete any data or custom settings and prevent any identity theft or access to your personal information.
