Man knocked out near nightclub
Police say a man was knocked unconscious and spent a night in hospital after an attack near a busy nightclub at the weekend.
Officers say the incident happened on Church Street in Douglas near its junction with Athol Street opposite the Courthouse nightclub at 12.30am on Saturday.
The man sustained head and body injuries and officers say they’re keen to hear from anybody who saw what happened, particularly a taxi driver who witnessed the assault.
