Police are investigating a spate of burglaries in Douglas in the early hours of yesterday morning.
They happened in Quarterbridge Road, Devonshire Road, Alexander Drive and Selbourne Drive.
Various items were taken, ranging from a Silver Ford Focus car in Devonshire Road, the vehicle keys having been stolen from inside the house, to cash, alcohol and cigarettes.
The car has been recovered.
Another car was taken from Westminster Drive sometime between 8pm yesterday and 6.30 this morning. The driver's door of the blue Ford Fiesta was forced open while the vehicle was parked on the driveway of a house.
While such a spate of burglaries is rare, police are reminding householders to lock all windows and doors at night, secure all vehicles and make sure valuables aren't left on view.
Anyone with information on any of the incidents is asked to contact Lord Street police on 631212.
