Officers ask public to refrain from speculation
Police have confirmed an investigation is underway on behalf of the Coroner of Inquests following the death of a pupil from Ballakermeen High School.
Headteacher Graeme Corrin confirmed the Year 9 student passed away unexpectedly in a letter sent to parents yesterday.
The Isle of Man Constabulary says the pupil died outside the school environment, and the death is currently being treated as unexplained.
Officers are asking that the privacy of the family is respected, and people refrain from speculating at this time.
