
Police are calling on the Island's agricultural community to remain vigilant, following reports of thefts of metal from a number of farms.
The problem seems to have increased recently, as the value of certain metals has increased.
In the United Kingdom there have been instances of people trying to steal manhole covers and even live electricity cables.
Inspector Will Campbell says, while it appears to be a minority, there are some pretty unscrupulous people out there:
