Programme for officer development
Police training on the Isle of Man in child sexual exploitation cases is one of the most comprehensive in the British Isles.
That's why the Isle of Man Constabulary is part of a UK research project into how training can be most effective among constables, sergeants, and specials.
The latter attended a course led by Detective Inspector Michelle McKillop this week, as part of a programme to develop and invest in officers.
This type of crime is no stranger to the Isle of Man.
Special Superintendent Sonia Rowe says she's learned a lot - and hopes parents are doing so too:
First in series of 'Isle be Ready' sessions to take place next month
More online services for drivers
New support centre 'an oasis' for cancer patients
Orrisdale Road to close for a month for resurfacing works
