More people on Island coming forward
Recent high-profile abuse cases in the UK have led to more people on the Island coming forward to speak about their own experiences.
That's the belief of Detective Inspector Neil Craig from the Isle of Man Constabulary's Public Protection Unit.
The Island force have made a pledge to support victims of abuse in any way they can.
DI Craig says they're keen to address the issue of lack of faith in the police historically in abuse cases, which was recently highlighted at sittings of the Social Affairs Policy Review Committee.
