Investigation has seen armed police deployed in Douglas
Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following a 'serious assault' which took place over the weekend.
It happened in the area of Princes Avenue in Douglas between midnight on Friday, 24 November and 8am on Saturday, 25 November.
Armed police officers were deployed on Saturday as part of 'an ongoing investigation'.
Earlier today, a spokesperson for the Isle of Man Constabulary told Manx Radio there will continue to be firearms officers utilised until the investigation is concluded - but maintained there is no ‘known threat to public safety at this point’.
Police are asking the public to check any doorbell, or motion sensor dash cam, footage in the area or the surrounding areas.
