Two motorists arrested for drink or drug driving
Use public transport or arrange a lift home if you plan on drinking on a night out.
That's the message from police after two motorists were arrested for drink or drug driving.
The first person, arrested last week for drink driving, appeared at Douglas Court and had been fined £1,700 plus £125 costs.
They have also been banned from driving for three years and must attend a drink driving rehabilitation course.
The second motorist, arrested overnight, is suspected of drug driving after a positive roadside drug wipe.
It's part of Operation Ripple Effect, an annual drink and drug drive campaign which launched last week.
