DHSC Director says joined up working streamlines services
Mental health professionals working alongside police, is a more efficient way of working.
The comments come from the director of community care at the Department of Health and Social Care, Angela Murray.
It's after two mental health nurses have been permanently stationed at police headquarters, with a third appointment on the way.
Ms Murray says it means cases can be directed to the most appropriate service more quickly:
