Police have named the man whose body was found in the River Douglas yesterday.
He's 52-year-old Kevin Wilkinson from Stanley View in the town.
His body was pulled from the water opposite Leigh Terrace last night after police and coastguard teams carried out a search lasting almost three hours.
The officer leading the investigation Detective Sergeant Brian Shimmin has confirmed today the death is not being treated as suspicious.
He's appealed for anyone who saw or had any contact with Mr Wilkinson on Tuesday, to come forward.
A post mortem is being carried out this afternoon.
