The motorcyclist who died in a road accident on Monday was 34-year-old Alex Williamson from Peel, a freelance computer programmer and former Manx Radio employee.
His Suzuki bike was involved in a collision with a blue Renault Modus at around 4.25pm, on the main Peel Road near the Hawthorn public house.
Police say their investigations into the incident are continuing and they are repeating their appeal for witnesses to the accident to come forward.
They say the presence of a blue Mondeo at the incident, which was not involved in the collision, may help jog the memory of witnesses.
The motorcycle and the Mondeo were both travelling towards Peel at the time of the accident.
Mr Williamson was the son of former Deputy Deemster Andrew Williamson, who retired in 2008 after 20 years in the Manx courts.
