
It's reported a police officer has been charged in connection with the death of a Manx student in Sheffield last year.
Jamie Haslett from Onchan, who was studying at Sheffield Hallam University, died after being hit by a South Yorkshire Police car in the city in October.
BBC Leeds says 41-year old officer PC Rodney Craig Mills faces a charge of causing death by dangerous driving and will appear at Bradford Magistrates Court on July 15.
Jamie, a former St Ninian's High School student, was in his second year studying Sport and Business Management.
He played football for Laxey and was a member of Manx Harriers.
