Inspector Flint says police are working hard to protect the public
More than 140 calls were made to police on Thursday as the Island responded to the devastation of Storm Desmond.
A bridge in the lower part of Laxey collapsed, toppling a bus into the river in one of the worst hit areas.
The forecast looks similar today (Saturday, 5th) with high winds and heavy rain predicted.
Inspector Derek Flint says police are doing all they can to ensure the public remains safe.
