Douglas police are investigating a burglary last night (Tuesday) in which a car was stolen.
It happened around Laureston Grove when a man took a number of items from a property including vehicle keys.
He then attempted to drive off in a car but crashed the vehicle into another parked car causing extensive damage before fleeing the area.
The man is described as being in his late teens or early 20s with light coloured hair and wearing a light jacket. He ran towards Laureston Close, St Ninian's Road and Ballaquayle Road.
Anyone who may have been in the area between 1am and 2:30am this morning (Wed) and who may have seen a man matching the description is asked to ring police headquarters on 631212.
Householders are also reminded that whilst the Island remains a safe place to live, they should make sure their property is secured at night and valuable items are kept out of view.
