Businesses in the Isle of Man are being urged to look out for a couple who have used distraction techniques to steal money.
The pair approached staff in a number of pubs and shops in Onchan last night (Thursday), asking to exchange cash into different denominations.
Police say they were smiley and chatty and confused the business owners during the transactions, making off with around £120.
Inspector Mark Britton of the Eastern Neighbourhood Policing Team (listen to audio file below):
Both suspects are said to be in their early 40s and of Asian appearance. The woman was wearing a Sari and a cream coloured coat and had a plaster under her left eye. The man was slim with short black hair and wore a dark jacket and red scraft. They arrived in a silver BMW saloon.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Onchan police on 675190.
