Four people have been arrested after police seized £40,000 worth of cocaine in Onchan yesterday afternoon (Saturday).
A local man and woman, as well as two people from Merseyside, again a man and a woman, are helping police with their inquiries.
Cannabis resin and amphetamine were also seized.
Detective Sergeant Allan Thompson of the Drug Trafficking Unit described it as a ‘significant seizure’ and said he found it difficult to believe people would risk their long term liberty by bringing such quantities of class A drugs to the Island.
