Door-to-door salesmen arrested in Peel
Police say an investigation into unlicensed traders led to £2,500 being seized.
The Western Neighbourhood Policing Team and the Financial Crime Unit looked into four men who’d been selling kitchen knives door to door.
They were found in Peel, police prosecuted them and the court ordered the money to be forfeitured.
PC Jonathan Penman says stopping the men – who’d specifically travelled to the Island to commit the offences - sends a strong message to unlicensed traders thinking of operating here.
