
Two police officers were stabbed in an incident in Kirk Michael last night (Thurs).
It happened at around 10.50pm when they were called to a disturbance at an address in the village.
They were confronted by a man with a knife, and as a result of this had to be taken to Nobles Hospital for treatment.
They were discharged later.
A man was arrested at the scene, and police are stressing that at no time was there any danger to any other member of the public.
No further details of the incident have been released at this point, but Acting Chief Constable Mike Langdon will be holding a media briefing later today
