RPU urges drivers to stick to speed limits during roadworks
The Island's Roads Policing Unit is warning it will be monitoring driving standards on Douglas promenade.
It comes following reports of vehicles conducting u-turns and speeding during the ongoing roadworks.
Officers are reminding drivers that a 20mph speed limit is in operation on the road, along with a 10mph restriction for the walkway parking.
The RPU will be using unmarked vehicles to monitor speeds, and says those caught breaching the rules will be dealt with.
