Follows Facebook post in early hours of this morning
Police say enquiries are ongoing after a woman claimed she’d been 'attacked' in Douglas in the early hours of this morning (11 October).
The cleaner took to social media asking people on the Isle of Man for ‘advice’ saying she’d been left in ‘panic and fear’ during her walk home from work.
According to the information she shared on Facebook she alleged she'd been approached by a man near the Villa Marina, at around 12.30am, before getting help from a taxi driver.
It sparked multiple comments with people urging her to contact police – the Isle of Man Constabulary has confirmed officers have spoken to her and have asked the public not to speculate on her post.
