Motorists reminded it's an offence to ignore closure signs
Police are reminding motorists it's an offence to drive on closed roads.
It comes after officers received reports of drivers ignoring roads closed signs on Douglas promenade during yesterday's [Weds 28] adverse weather conditions.
The road was closed for several hours as waves came over the sea wall and onto the carriageway.
The Isle of Man Constabulary says it's a safety issue for motorists and other road users when road closures are ignored.
