Check your tyes - and your lights!
Police are warning motorists to make sure their cars are fit for winter – as they carry out roadside checks.
The Roads Policing Unit says it stopped 47 vehicles this morning as part of an ongoing campaign to improve safety.
A large number of those stopped had faults with their lights, and officers gave advice to the drivers involved.
One car, however, had defective tyres – that driver has been reported for the offence.
