Businesses advised to be aware of cold callers
Police are warning Island businesses about another scam doing the rounds.
It's after a local company was approached by an advertising firm with a view to selling them advertising space in their "glossy magazine".
Officers say the sole aim was to get money out of the company and not provide any advertising and are warning the call was a scam.
They say small - or even large - businesses should be wary of cold callers selling advertising space and what they promise to do for your company.
