Scammers texting people pretending to be banks
Police are warning people to think before opening any text messages from numbers they don't recognise.
It comes after the force has received reports of a 'one-time passcode scam'.
It's where you get a text from what looks like your bank, asking for a password request and providing a phone number link.
Officers say this is a trick to get people to call a tampered number which takes you directly to the scammer.
Anyone who thinks they are being targeted is asked to call 631212.
