People asked to take care when looking for new animals
People looking for a new pet during lockdown are at risk of being tricked out of their cash.

Action Fraud in the UK has reported that almost £300,000 has been taken in deposits from aspiring pet owners, in the last two months.
In a post on social media, officers say the issue is here on the Island too and people need to be extremely careful.
