Follows reported rise in incidents in UK
People on the Isle of Man are being urged to be vigilant after a rise in the number of spiking incidents in the UK.
More than 40 university student groups in the UK boycotted nightclubs and bars last night because of it.
Manx police say they will take any offences of this nature seriously and are working with licensees to make sure this isn't a 'trend that takes hold' on the Island.
Drink spiking - where someone adds drugs or alcohol to another person's drink without them knowing - is illegal.
Sergeant Andrew Reed says in the run up to the festive period people should take extra care:
Three-month wait for state pension forecast statements
OFT to investigate possible regulation of funeral directors
"One of the Island's foremost champions of Manx heritage" to receive Tynwald Honour
No timeline yet for reinstatement of rehab service to north
Venezuela Fury & Noah Price wedding "a true showcase of the breadth and quality of Manx services"
