Chief Constable optimistic after period of change
A lack of funding to tackle youth offending restricted the Isle of Man Constabulary's ability to deal with the issue over the last year.
That's according to Chief Constable Gary Roberts following the publication of his annual report.
During the 2018-19 period, the Youth Justice Team underwent significant change, becoming the Police Early Action Team.
One person was referred to the service 28 times, and Chief Constable Roberts admits there was a risk of people slipping through the net due to a lack of resources:
