Treasury Minister says he will have further talks with ferry operator
Changes to the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company's adult to children ratio stemmed from concerns about appropriate 'supervision' following behavioural issues.
The ferry operator says its behavioural warning notification is played up to six times per sailing, with group leaders spoken to on average of twice per trip.
Treasury Minister Alex Allinson told Tynwald his department met with Steam Packet officers in November to discuss the rationale behind the change.
Onchan MHK Julie Edge urged the Steam Packet to rethink the change:
Dr Allinson committed to having further discussions with the Steam Packet Company.
A response from the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company is expected.
