Buying a poppy will both support the British Legion and could help the Isle of Man win the annual Poppy Cup once again.
This year's poppy appeal was launched just over a week ago and fundraiser Major Charles Wilson is hoping the Island can once again claim the prize for collecting the most money per head of population in the British Isles.
He says Isle of Man residents are always very generous with their donations and another Poppy Cup success would be very welcome.
However, he says nobody should lose sight of the real purpose behind the appeal:
