A Port Erin Commissioner has resigned from his role after nine years on the board.

Marc Morely walked out of the local authority's AGM earlier this week and the clerk has since accepted his departure.

Chair Hannah Mackenzie says she 'respects' his decision and is thanking him for being the representative on the Southern Swimming Pool Board for five years.

Mr Morely was first elected to the commissioners in a by-election in 2016, and was successfully re-elected in 2021 and 2025.
