Authority cutting back on 'nice to haves'
Port Erin Commissioners say residents shouldn't be 'burdened' with unnecessary costs.
Rates are being increased by 4.7 percent.
The local authority says that will provide a 'realistic' budget for the year ahead; there are also plans to move more than £50,000 out of reserves.
This will support 'further investment' in facilities for the village and will also support the increased rate for the Southern Swimming Pool.
