Local authority says earlier hiring process was stopped due to 'internal procedural errors'
Port Erin Commissioners has confirmed it will 'shortly' be readvertising for a replacement clerk.
It says the post was advertised earlier this year but due to a number of 'internal procedural errors' it had to be stopped before a candidate was appointed.
The local authority adds it 'regrets' the delay but is 'confident' that the new recruitment process will proceed without 'any further' delay.
It says it wants to 'make clear' that neither the recruitment agency or candidates were at fault for the errors and mistakes.
