One of the great traditions of the summer in the Isle of Man gets underway this afternoon (Sunday).
The Port St Mary Beach Mission has offered children of all ages a range of activities and the chance to learn about the bible since the start of the last century.
It will run every weekday for a fortnight, with participants in the 'Opening Extravaganza' meeting outside the Town Hall at 3.30pm.
The Beach Mission is organised by the Scripture Union.
Spokesman David Stewart (pictured) says the bible has a lot to say about how people should live their lives (audio file attached):
The 2007 Beach Mission proper starts tomorrow (Monday) morning. If you want to get involved you should go along to the Mallmore guest house, on the promenade, at 10am.
