Steam Packet Company lost 3 vessels during Operation Dynamo
Today marks the 80th anniversary of the darkest day in Steam Packet Company history.
On 29 May 1940, three Manx vessels were sunk within 24 hours as they helped evacuate soldiers from Dunkirk during the Second World War.

Also this morning, a member of Rushen Silver Band played the last post, to remember those who were lost in the evacuation of Dunkirk.
