Event to take snapshot of village - 40 years on
'A Day In The Life of Port St Mary', will be recorded today (Fri 20)
Sixteen cameras will capture the scenes around the village - in the same way as they were captured by the Southern Photographic Society 40 years ago when they spent 24 hours in the village photographing streets, shops and the sea.
Chair of the commissioners' events committee, Bernadette Williams, says she hopes people will enter into the spirit of the day - and the same idea might be repeated 40 years on!
Chris Kinley is presenting his Morning Show from the village from 9:30 am.
