Call for long-term approach over Chester Street
Douglas Borough Council leader David Christian says the future of Chester Street car park needs serious consideration after Shoprite closed its supermarket doors for the final time at the weekend.
He also revealed there are talks taking place for a new modern car park nearby.
Fellow councillor Richard McNicholl has called for the whole structure to be demolished.
Mr Christian agrees the time has come for a longer term approach for the site.
