MUA in talks with telecoms company
A 15 metre mobile phone mast could be erected in Onchan.
Chairman of Manx Utilities Alf Cannan confirmed the news in the House of Keys this morning.
In reply to a question from Onchan MHK David Quirk, Mr Cannan said whilst Manx Utilities didn't have any plans to erect masts on their land in the foreseaable future, but were in talks with another company regarding a telecoms mast
Keys Questions only lasted 30 minutes this morning MHK's Peter Karran Bill Malarkey and Zac Hall were all absent due to illness. Mr Karran and Mr Hall had 11 of the 17 questions tabled for answer today which were held over to the next sitting.
The sitting of Legco, the first since summer months was also delayed due as the Lord Bishop had been delayed returning to the Island from a trip to the UK.
