DEFA minister calms CL concerns
Manx territorial seas will be protected from exploitaiton, when EU fishing agreements fall after Brexit.
That reassurance from the Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Geoffrey Boot, after concerns were raised by political pressure group the Celtic League.
An emergency resolution was passed at the League's AGM in Peel last weekend, calling for urgent action to protect the integrity of Manx territorial seas.
In theory, when EU agreements on fishing fall away, the Island will have greater control over its waters.
