A Home Office pathologist is heading to the Island today to conduct a post mortem on the body of a man, found in Laxey yesterday morning.
It's understood the discovery was made in the yard of a property, off Church Hill, at around 7am.
Witnesses or anyone with information about the death are being asked to contact police, with officers particularly keen to talk to people who were in the area of Laxey Post Office, opposite the Bridge Inn, in the six hours from 1am on Sunday.
If you can help the investigation you are asked to ring Police Headquarters on 631212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Yesterday, police told Manx Radio the man's death was 'unexplained'.
