Move to allow 'appropriate' staffing
Isle of Man Post Office has announced it's cutting the number of hours the counter service is available at its headquarters.
It will open an hour later at 8am in the week, and two hours later at 9am on Saturdays from Monday, 6 January.
A statement from the post office says the decision has been made following a review of its opening hours and when people are choosing to use the counter.
It adds that the new times will allow the facility to be staffed appropriately, particularly at lunchtimes.
Isle of Man Post Office says there will be no change to the services provided, and points out there is a self-service kiosk there which can be used if the queue is long.
The statement concludes by saying there is also now an enhanced redelivery service, which can be accessed via the post office's website.
