The proposed closure of flagship Post Offices in Ramsey and Douglas and their relocation into local Spar stores will be firmly on the agenda for MHKs next week, with more questions on the issue.
The House of Keys sits on Tuesday, with a total of 26 questions for oral answer.
Of those, 10 are from Liberal Vannin MHKs Peter Karran and Kate Beecroft asking about the process which led to Mannin Retail providing sub post offices in the two towns.
Post Office chairman Graham Cregeen, Chief Minister Allan Bell and Treasury Minister Eddie Teare will all face queries.
The two ministers will be asked about their involvement in the Isle of Man Post’s decision to go ahead with a closed tender involving just nine companies.
At a public meeting in Ramsey earlier this week, Post Office chief executive Mike Kelly revealed high street names such as Isle of Man Bank, Marks & Spencer and Boots had been approached.
Mr Karran will also press Mr Cregeen on whether the business followed financial regulations when it decided not to go out to an open tender.
There’ll be live coverage of Keys questions on Manx Radio’s AM1368 frequency from 10am on Tuesday.
