Follows closure of village's newsagent

Businesses in Port St Mary are being encouraged to apply to provide postal services.

It follows the closure of the newsagent Torden Stores.

The Isle of Man Post Office wants to hear from anyone wanting to offer postal counter services or act as a parcel collection centre.

A spokesperson said: "Both opportunities are designed to complement existing retail businesses by increasing customer footfall, enhancing local services, and supporting community access to postal services.

"Remuneration for the postal counter service is on a sales commission basis whilst the parcel collection service is on a fixed fee per item basis."

Anyone interested has until 1 September to apply.
