Union calls emergency meeting
Postal workers are meeting in Douglas this afternoon (Sun) for an urgent debate about potential changes to pay and pensions.
The Communication Workers' Union has arranged an emergency branch meeting for Island members, as the Isle of Man Post Office continues to develop its new five year strategy.
Concerns have already been raised about what the cost-cutting plans could mean for Manx workers and their jobs.
The union, which represents postmen and women in Britain, says it is 'essential that as many members as possible attend' to discuss their future terms.
A consultation on the five year strategy - which has yet to be published - closes on Tuesday (2 October).
