
Infrastructure minister Phil Gawne says it may be months before his department can put the Island’s roads right after the winter freeze.
Snow and ice cracked carriageways and left hundreds of potholes all around the Isle of Man’s road network.
Mr Gawne says Department of Infrastructure staff are working flat-out to repair the damage, and routine road maintenance has been postponed until the potholes have been fixed.
And he says although the worst should be out of the way fairly soon, filling every pothole will take some time:

Just over half the vehicles examined were defective
