
'Is there poverty and neglect on the Isle of Man?'
Certainly a conference this week, attended by around 160 charity workers, social workers, students and those involved in child and adult welfare, has sparked debate.
It was organised by The Children's Centre whose chief executive John Knight hopes will now lead to united efforts to tackle the issue.
He says poverty does exist here, although it’s different from elsewhere.
